Lillian Lim

As a wine buyer, sommelier, teacher and consultant, my goal is to create a comfortable, enjoyable, and accessible environment for you to experience and learn about wine.  I strive to find undiscovered gems, looking for wines that are first and foremost delicious, unique in the marketplace, feature a quality level that far exceeds their price point, and have an intriguing story behind them.

My journey began as a wine enthusiast. Tasting some unforgettable wines from Burgundy forever changed my wine world and inspired me to make the transition into a second career from software engineer to wine professional.  I devoted myself to studying different wine regions and grape varieties.  Through my wine studies, I am always looking to taste wines from obscure wine varieties from wine regions of the far corners of the wine world.

Lillian Lim is a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, Certified Wine Educator with the Society of Wine Educators, French Wine Scholar (2016 Top Exam Scorer) with the Wine Scholar Guild and California Wine Appellation Specialist.  Her work in the wine and cheese industry include: wine director at a neighborhood wine bar and bistro, wine sales representative for a distributor and importer of fine wines from around the world, cheese buyer at a cheese and wine specialty shop selling over 200 cheeses, and wine collection curator for an educational wine app.  She also runs tasting events and teaches wine classes.
